Cavenham Village Green
Cavenham Village Green is a Doorstep Green Project, completed in 2006 by the local community, who continue to maintain the many safe, attractive features for people of all ages to enjoy. The land was granted by the Lackford and Cavenham Estate.
Its facilities comprise a play area with adventure tower and swings, basketball court, cycle track, birds nest swing, sheltered meeting place, BBQ, footpaths, park benches, picnic benches, snake sculpture, hollowed tree sculpture, open space for games, football goal and trim trail.
Planting includes mixed native hedge, 40 trees and wildflower meadow attract local wildlife.
The committee welcomes new volunteers to help with the maintenance of the green. Cavenham Village Green has been awarded the Green Flag Community Award each year since 2007.www.greenflagaward.org.uk

- Spring: Mulching maintenance day
- Summer: BBQ, ceilidh, games and open gardens
- Autumn: Wildflower cutting and raking maintenance day
- Winter: Hedge cutting
