Cavenham Lorry Survey Village Consultation Exercise
Suffolk County Council are undertaking a review of the lorry route network and are seeking our views as a Parish. They have asked us to establish the “top three” issues faced within our community relating to lorries. It is really important that we hear your views and have a good response to show our strength of feeling.

Meetings
Cavenham has a Parish Meeting rather than a Council. It is administered by a Chair, Secretary and Treasurer.
The Parish Meeting is responsible for setting the precept. The majority of the village precept supports the Village Green. The precept is one element of the Council Tax householders pay.
The Parish Meeting is consulted on planning applications within the village.
The Meeting Secretary's responsibilities include organising meetings, dealing with correspondence and acting as a point of contact for members of the public and other organisations. He/she may also report highways or rights of way issues.
Dates of meetings are set well in advance and publicised in the village noticeboard, on the village website and emailed to those parishioners who have given their contact details to the parish secretary.
If you're interested in helping and/or being on the Parish Meeting Council please contact Liz cavenhampc@gmail.com
Risk Assessment and Planning subcommittees meet as necessary.
